Project: Roller Shade Replacement : Window Treatment Upgrade at Scale

Executive Summary: Orella Group executed an extensive window treatment modernization for Hatch’s three-story global headquarters, involving the decommissioning and replacement of 347 roller shades spanning 1,497 linear feet. Beyond simple installation, this project required the systematic disassembly and reinstatement of smart workstations along the building’s perimeter. By managing a multi-trade schedule and coordinating directly with Hatch’s internal communications team, we completed the full scope during off-hours, ensuring the facility remained 100% operational for staff each morning.
We managed a synchronized team of electricians, furniture technicians, and specialized installers to decommission and reinstate complex workstations containing live data and power feeds without service interruption.
The scope included the removal and disposal of 347 existing units, followed by patch/painting and preparation to ensure a clean, professional finish for the new installation.
We worked closely with Hatch’s internal teams to coordinate a rolling schedule, ensuring staff were notified of desk availability and that all personal and corporate assets were protected and returned.
To prevent disruption, all work was performed during night and weekend shifts. Our project management team ensured that 1,497 linear feet of window treatments were installed and all workstations were fully functional before the start of each business day.
